Rolling Hills Derby Dames

June is an exciting month for our derby dames! Come check out these events in our community that we are excited to be involved in:

• June 2nd is the Knuckle Skrape’Rs hot rod event in Palouse, 11am-6pm. The derby dames help park the cars and we have a merch table set up. After lunch time there might even be a scrimmage in the street! More details on this exciting event soon.

• Our next event is at 3pm, June 9th at the Paradise Creek Brewery. They will be celebrating the release of their new roller derby ale, Rink Rash Red Ale and hold fundraising party for RHDD. Come enjoy some music and great brews with your favorite derby dames!

• On June 16th, we will be holding a black and white scrimmage, inviting local leagues to particpate. More details on this scrimmage will be coming shortly. We love our fresh meat, and we hope to make this one all about them! It will be held at the Palouse Ice Rink in Moscow, ID.

Come learn how to play roller derby with RHDD  at the Palouse Ice Rink in Moscow, ID
Sunday, April 15th
4 pm – 7 pm
Make sure to bring a mouth guard!

Skates and gear are provided however if you have the following gear please bring it:
quad skates, helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, knee pads

Upcoming events….

Off Skate Practice – Sunday, March 25 from 3:45 pm – 4:45 pm at Moscow’s HIRC.  Wear shoes to exercise in and bring a water bottle.

All League meeting – Tuesday, March 27th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Thomas Hammer in Pullman, WA. Dues paying members can vote for the new board members at this meeting.

RHDD vs. Lilac City – Saturday, April 14th, at Spokane’s Fair Grounds. Doors open at 5:00 pm bout starts at 7:20 pm (Lilac City Junior bout at 5:30 pm) Tickets available at the door or online at Brown Paper Tickets.

A huge thank you goes out to WSU’s Beasley Coliseum, Apple City Roller Girls, our Beasley planning committee, all our volunteers and sponsors!  Without you our first home bout would not have happen.

Rolling Hills Derby Dames are hosing their FIRST home bout at WSU’s Beasley Coliseum on March 10th, 2012.

Come watch the 2011 Derby Nationals with RHDD!

When: Sunday, November 13th @ 3:00 pm

Where: Paradise Creek Brewery in Pullman, WA (http://paradisecreekbrewery.com)

The nationals will be broadcasted onto the big screen for everyone to enjoy over food and drinks.  Bring some friends and learn the game of roller derby!  There will also be a raffle to help raise money for new RHDD uniforms.

Interested?

We are actively recruiting and welcoming new skaters NOW.  Young (18+) and old, experienced or not, come watch a practice or even give it a try. We have few extra skates and some protective gear, but please bring your own mouth guard and water bottle.
